Congratulations On Your New Baby In Arabic

Hasta luego Cartagena

It's time for us to leave this beautiful and enchanting city of Cartagena ... Too touristy, some say! True, but it is normal because there is so much to see! And then, do Remember that for years the country has been "wiped" of travel destinations because of the Farc, insecurity in the cities ... Hotels, restaurants, etc. ... have suffered enormously. The Government did a great job on it, police are everywhere, a bit too much for us Europeans ... but it is true that at no time do we feel we are in danger! Indeed, the slogan of the latest campaign of the Government, where humor has definitely replaced the fear is "Colombia, the only risk is wanting to stay" ... But we must continue the journey as it takes us closer to the Panama Canal ... We will still take the time to stop by the famous San Blas Islands, inhabited by the Kuna Indians. You can find the photos, which promise great, until we are back in modern civilization (in about 3 weeks), only text messages appear on the blog. Bizzzzzzzzzzz you all

Itchy Painful Tailbone

Discovery Discovery sparklines

The concept sparkline was invented by Edward Tufte, as presented in Wikipedia: Edward Rolf Tufte, born in 1942 (Kansas City, Missouri, USA) is a professor of statistics, computer science, information design and political economy at Yale University. It has been described by The New York Times as the "Leonardo da Vinci of data" . Note that, unlike some French writers, including a recent Goncourt winning journalist and a famous, I do not mind ... to quote my sources

Microsoft filed the patent in May 2008, to the chagrin of Edward Tufte and others and professionals (see http://www.edwardtufte.com/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=0003Y1&topic_id=1 ). Hopefully all this will find a solution ... honest

A sparkline is a graph that fits in a single cell in your spreadsheet. Initially, it was only curves (hence the term "line"). The sparklines are in Excel, through various add-ins (or supplements) for several years already.

These graphics are built into Excel since the 2010 version of the software. We see in a later article how to proceed with earlier versions of Excel.

In this first article we see how to create a first sparkline with Excel 2010: the cursor is in D2, we activate the tape "Insert" and activate the curves tool in Block "sparkline Charts." Here's how we filled dialogue:

The result is shown below, with further two new graphs with, for the same set of digital data, the histogram and the corresponding positive / negative partner.

Note 1 - In version "Positive / Negative", there is no indication of the absolute value, but only the distinction Positive / No / Negative.

Note 2 - The histogram default can not see well that there are negative values in the series, but we'll see how to fix this in the next section.

Beach Day ...

Yesterday morning we take a taxi to be 08.00 Bazurto the Mercado, the largest market town. From there, go to the island of lanchas Baru, where the Playa Blanca, about 3.5 km long. Mercado Bazurto, huge market "African", with its colors and especially ... smells! Small vendors, restaurateurs, individuals etc. ... flock here from the first light, we must not forget that Cartagena has almost 1.2 million inhabitants ... but we are not "come" inside, it's not for tourists! Within 2 hours of waiting, we saw happen in the wood, food, jerry cans for diesel ... a big engine, then we said we would surely sink! Thirty passengers, half a dozen children and we finally leave! After swimming, drowsiness creeping over me (Jo), where my hand grinds the trapezius muscle and left a voice says "um, mama, mucho mucho stress. Paola is it mass with aloe vera, it's nice, I let myself do ... she asks me where I am and when I told him that I am French, she said "mama, mucho mucho ingles work mucha tension," I can not help but laugh ... Massage all over, I find myself with a good layer of aloe vera from the hairline to the feet, the sand sticks to it, super ... 13.30, a small snack is needed, we return to the "shacks" to find what we eat and thus put in the shade because the sun burns. Shrimp marinated and grilled, slightly sweet rice, tortillas, tomatoes, delicious! It is time to approach near lanchas "Lendro" we said "very soon the" ... Floating pontoons come for passengers of large buses, the wind picked up and waves as well. Good waves come to "slam" at the beach, the laborers have become difficult, people panicked a bit and still no "Lendro! We will ask a policeman who told us that there will be more lanchas and to return to Cartagena, take the boat is still there. We do sign the driver of the pontoon floating it back, the waves are big, it can not, then we go into the water, Eric, wearing the backpack as "commando" rises first, I found myself with water up to his neck, a guy handed me his arm I grabbed me and managed to pull myself up ... whew I have not lost the sunglasses!
