Excel 2010 Top football matches
are available in columns A: D filing a list of football matches taking place on first day championship. As we can see below, in chronological order is not respected in this list.
The objective is to obtain the list on the right, where the chronological order has been complied with and where, for each day, we respect the order of the initial classification.
The trick that we found - to alleviate the formulas - is to use column G, hidden above, in which it calculates the line number to use for the game pursued. Here are the original formulas for this model:
F5 = SMALL ($ A $ 5: $ A $ 14; line () -4)
G5 = MATCH (F5, A: A, 0)
G6: = if (F6 = F5; equiv (F6; OFFSET ($ A $ 1; G5, 0): $ A $ 14, 0 ) + G5; equiv (F6; A: A, 0))
H5: = index (B $ 1: B $ 14, $ G5)
The only formula requiring some thought is the G6 ...
We leave you the pleasure of shelling to understand the principle.
